These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Algarve Explore digital platform, including our commercial business directory and independent editorial reviews. By accessing our platform, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
1. Commercial Directory & Merchant Conduct
Algarve Explore provides a regional business directory and classified ad infrastructure. The following rules apply to all business owners, merchants, and service providers utilizing our platform:
- Listing Accuracy: Merchants claiming or submitting business profiles are strictly responsible for the accuracy of their provided data, services, and contact information.
- Right of Refusal: We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or terminate any business listing, premium or free, at our sole discretion, particularly if a business violates regional laws or consumer trust.
- Transactional Independence: Algarve Explore is an informational connector and media platform. We are not a party to any financial transaction, contract, or agreement made between consumers and the businesses listed in our directory. We assume zero liability for the quality of services rendered by third-party merchants.
2. Editorial Integrity & “Watchdog” Reviews
Our platform includes an independent editorial arm designed to provide verified consumer insights:
- No “Pay for Play”: Businesses cannot purchase positive reviews or pay to have legitimate negative reviews removed from the editorial watchdog section.
- Consumer Discretion: All reviews, audits, and insights published by our editorial team are intended for informational purposes only. Users must exercise their own due diligence before engaging with any regional business.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, infrastructure, and brand assets on this platform are the exclusive property of Algarve Explore, protected by Portuguese and international copyright laws:
- Database Ownership: The structure, organization, and compilation of the Algarve Explore business directory are proprietary. Automated scraping, data extraction, or reproduction of our directory is strictly prohibited.
4. User-Generated Content & Comments
Users may have the ability to submit comments, feedback, or consumer ratings on our platform:
- By submitting content, you grant Algarve Explore a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content across our network.
- We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for defamatory, illegal, or malicious submissions. We reserve the right to instantly remove any user-generated content that violates our operational standards.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Algarve Explore and its operational officers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform, your inability to access the directory, or your interactions with businesses found on our network.
6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal and the European Union. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Faro District, Portugal.
